MY POSITION ON EARLY CAMPAIGN SIGNS
Dear Voter:
In case you haven’t heard, I have formally
announced my candidacy, and am in fact
running for a full four-year term as
Assessor of Property.
Some of you had inquired, having seen signs
for a challenger candidate already posted at
various locations around the county. There
is a reason you will not be seeing my signs
on roadways and intersections until after
Christmas. I may be old-fashioned, but I
believe people would rather not have to look
at a clutter of political signs for a
February election while still trying to
enjoy Christmas.
Small yard signs (except in the Village) and
bumper stickers are a different matter.
Supporters are welcome to place these
materials on their own property at any time.
It has been a privilege and pleasure serving
as your appointed Assessor these past 16
months and I look forward to earning your
vote and support for a full, four-year term.
The election is Feb. 5 and early voting
starts Jan. 16. If you plan to be out of
town, please remember to call the Election
Office at 458-2560 to request an absentee
ballot.
Thank you for your time, and may Joy and
Peace be yours this Christmas season. I look
forward to seeing you in the weeks ahead.
