My Qualifications
Chuck
Jenkins came to the Office of the Assessor
in September 2006 well prepared for the
important challenges that lay ahead. His
relevant experience included:
-
20+
years in management for public- as well
as private-sector organizations.
-
13
years working directly with citizens,
building and implementing public
participation programs for government
clients.
-
8
years (two terms) on Loudon County
Commission, enabling fundamental
understanding and insight into all
county departments and operations.
Also,
since taking office, Chuck has immersed
himself in the laws, regulations, and
procedures pertaining to property appraisal
and assessment. In March 2007, he traveled
to Nashville for a weeklong certification
course titled Tennessee Assessment Law &
Appraisal Fundamentals and scored a
class-leading 98/100 on the final
exam.
Chuck has been a
passionate advocate of quality growth for
many years -- throughout his tenure as
County Commissioner and through his
involvement in
Nine Counties-One Vision. He served on the
9C-1V Quality Growth Task Force, coordinated
the County's participation in last year's
highly successful Quality Growth Conference,
and was recently named Loudon County's
representative on the founding Steering
Committee of East Tennessee Quality Growth.
