Thank You!
|
You Did It!
You came through in a big
way, giving me a decisive win
for a full, four-year term.
Thank you for your vote, your
support, and your prayers. And
Thank You for caring enough
about your local government to
be informed and involved.
I want you to be pleased with
your decision and proud of your
vote; that's why I pledge to run
this office the next four years
-- just as I have these last 18
months -- with honesty,
integrity and transparency.
This is your Office and I
am privileged to serve.

On Sept. 11, 2007, I was
privileged to receive appointment by County
Commission to fill the unexpired term of the
outgoing assessor, now mayor, Doyle Arp. I
insisted that I take the Assessor's oath of
office that very evening, before
adjournment, for I knew the gravity of being
sworn publicly, without delay, to:
"... faithfully ,
impartially and honestly discharge my
duties as assessor of property according
to the law, to the best of my knowledge
and ability, without fear, favor or
affection, so help
me God."
It has been my pledge and my
goal that
every assessed
property owner
pays his or her fair share of the county tax
burden -- not
a penny more nor
a penny less.
Whether business owner, developer, or
homeowner --
whether from Philadelphia, Dixie Lee
Junction, Greenback, or any place in between
-- each is treated equally. Each
receives
the same consideration
and the same prompt attention and
service
from me or a member of our friendly and
experienced staff.
After all, the
Assessor’s office is your office.
We remember
that we work for you!
Now I am asking that, on Feb.
5, 2008, you grant me the opportunity to
serve you for a full, four-year term.
Let's build on the accomplishments of the
past year and continue the progress that's
been made. With so many budgetary needs, it
is vital that the County receive every dime
it is rightfully due, and it all starts
right here ... with a full and fair
appraisal of every taxable property in
Loudon County.
It's been a good year. It's
been a privilege to serve. And I humbly
request four more years in your service as
Loudon County Assessor.
With warmest regards,
